Cyber Conscious Nepali Community
A NAWA Initiative- #actnowstaysecure
As part of the Australian Federal Government’s Cyber Awareness Program (#ActNowStaySecure), the Nepali Association of Western Australia (NAWA), in partnership with NEWA (Nepalese Engineers in WA), proudly launched the Cyber Conscious Nepali Community initiative.
This program is designed to empower Nepali-speaking individuals and families in Australia with essential knowledge and tools to stay safe online. From protecting your personal information to understanding scams, social media risks, and children’s online safety – the content is presented in simple Nepali language to make it accessible for all ages.
Whether you’re a student, parent, business owner, or elder, this initiative promotes inclusive, practical, and culturally tailored cyber safety education.
- Promoting and maintaining unity and friendship among Nepalese and other communities
- Sharing information among members and networking
- Participating in activities relating to exploring educational, social, cultural and economic collaboration
